Spare General Secretary Lyons' Salary v Performance

Below is Lyons' salary history, total renumeration is £103,493
Notes: Membership 2002 & 2003 figures not yet available, estimated. Lyons' 2003 salary package of £103,493 comprised of £92,700 basic + £5,562 pension + £5,231 car benefit. Lyons' 2002 salary not available, estimated.

In addition to Lyons salary package of £103,493 and use of a Chauffeur which he does not declare as a benefit, Lyons will be spending some of his union-paid-for-time on the Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT) where he will rake in £261 a day plus expenses. When he sat periodically on the Monopolies and Mergers Commission, in union-paid-for-time, he declined to reimburse the £16,000 salary to the union, no doubt he will also keep the EAT pocket money.
